Carl Rosner Carl Rosner is president and CEO of CardioMag Imaging, Inc. in Schenectady. CardioMag is dedicated to developing non-invasive heart monitoring devices. Carl founded the company in 1999 after almost 30 years as head of another important company in the region, Intermagnetics General in Latham. Before that he’d been an engineer for General Electric’s superconductor division, a job he took here soon after he escaped Europe and the Holocaust.

Rosner joined GE in 1955 as a staff scientist in research and development. He is a graduate of the Stockholm Institute of Technology, Newark College of Engineering and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, with undergraduate and graduate degrees in electrical engineering and management. He was elected a member of the National Academy of Engineering, and holds memberships in the American Physical Society, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the New York Academy of Science, as well as the Institute for Electrical and Electronic Engineers.

Rosner was named Entrepreneur of the Year in 1992 for manufacturing and most recently he was presented with the 2002 Excellence in Entrepreneurship Award from the University at Albany. He sits on the board of directors of several civic organizations, including The University at Albany Foundation.
